July's monthly make was for my lovely daughter Natalie - we made up the Simone Set by Maven Patterns. We used Merchant and Mills Ginger linen for her trousers and AGF Mystical Quest by Day Rayon Fabric for her strappy top. We also made it up in a gorgeous viscose crepe fabric she had bought with this outfit in mind to give a Jumpsuit effect worn together.
The pattern instructions are very clear, with pocket details and an elasticated waistband with the addition of a draw cord. The trousers are sewn each leg separately, and then joined by the crotch seam matching relevant notches.
The waistband is attached to the trousers and then the elastic and drawstring added.
The trousers can also be shortened to make a pair of shorts, making this a very versatile pattern to make a multiple, interchangeable outfits for your wardrobe.
