So for July I decided to make the Merchant & Mills Etta Dress.

Made up in our Northern Blues Gingham cotton/linen blend fabric (a trade only fabric from Merchant and Mills not available in their stores).
The Etta Dress pattern comes in 2 size ranges 6-18 and 18-28.
The Etta Dress is a simple wrap dress with a lined bodice and inseam pockets. You can choose between short or three quarter length sleeves or make it sleeveless. I decided to go for the short sleeve version. The dress has an inner tie so you can choose how loose you want your wrap to be, but it is designed to not be fitted at the waist. I did however grade down 2 sizes at the waist as I didn't want too much fullness being short in height.
Of course I have done a video sew-along for this make on our YouTube Channel which you can view via the link below:
So for August's Monthly Make I will be making the Closet Core Fiore Skirt in our Fabric Godmother Riviera Linen/viscose mix fabric - still hoping for more sunshine and a UK Summer!!

Happy Sewing!

Good outerwear should feel both comfortable and expressive. While exploring The California Jackets collection, the Yellowstone Beth Dutton Hooded Poncho Coat stood out for its simple but bold character. Here’s where I found it: Yellowstone Beth Dutton Hooded Poncho Coat It looks easy to pair with boots or jeans.
The focus on seasonal fabrics and colors adds a fresh, vibrant touch to every handmade piece. It’s great to see encouragement for personal expression and experimenting with different textures and techniques. While crafting in comfort, the Green Bay Packers Sideline Sleeveless Green Hoodie is perfect for keeping cozy and unrestricted during long sewing sessions.
Love it. Maybe on one of my future workshops we could look at pattern matching x
