For the new year - January 2025 I made the Kitty Dress by Maven Patterns.
The Kitty dress is my favourite dress pattern, and I made it up in our 8oz organic brushed twill in black, with red topstitching to highlight the lovely details in this dress. The Kitty Dress is a semi-fitted dress with a bust dart in the centre seam, darts to the back shoulders and elbow of the 3/4 length sleeves, oh and of course the gorgeous peter pan collar!
The pattern instructions are detailed and thorough with clear line drawings throughout. I have also recorded a sew-along on our YouTube channel to sew up this dress, detailing the topstitching, making a facing for the hem and sleeve hem, and a hand sewn button loop. For February 2025 I will be making The Blair Skirt by True Bias Patterns using our 12oz organic sanded twill in the colour Otto Green. Of course, with a YouTube video sew-along!
